Dr. Doris LawrenceDr. Doris Lawrence received her DVM degree in 1998 from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from Raymond Walters College(University of Cincinnati), and a Bachelor of Science in animal science from the College of Agriculture(Ohio State). She has a special interest in feline medicine, including endocrine disease(diabetes and hyperthyroidism), geriatrics, and feline behavior. Because cats, more so than dogs, tend to "stress out" during a visit to the vet, Dr Lawrence wanted to bring the veterinarian to the patient. Thus, Cat Calls was born. By avoiding the car trip and the waiting room full of other animals, cats are much more relaxed. House calls also offer unparalled convenience to the owner. Dr. Lawrence is a life-long resident of Cincinnati. She and her husband have three grown children and eight grandchildren. They now share their house with five cats(Peanut, Bartholomew, Lucy, Daisy, and Petey), and one dog (Scarlett). Her hobbies include cooking and gardening. Dr. Lawrence is a member of the American Veterinary Medical association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Feline Practitioners, and the American Association of Housecall Veterinarians.
